Executive Coaching

I see a lot of professional women who don’t like what they’re doing anymore or it just doesn’t resonate for them the way it used to, but…  they still slog through because that’s the “only” way to support their families or not be a quitter.

That breaks my heart.

There are a lot of ways to handle feelings of discontent in our careers, including doing things differently, changing jobs, or even moving to a new opportunity or industry altogether.

Because the truth is, if you never figure out that your career get better and better, then you will always struggle with feeling like you’re just getting by.

Are you a professional woman who:

  • Feels like something is missing at work?
  • Keeps thinking  “something’s got to give” as you wrangle work, home life and all your responsibilities?
  • Desperately needs help but doesn’t want to come across as weak, selfish, or worse—a quitter?
  • Won’t accept help that’s offered because it’s “not how you or your mother or your partner would do it?”
  • Craves recognition and … wants to kick overwhelm to the curb, and have an energetic sense of anticipation be the new normal in your life?

Career Coaching helps you:

  • Get clear as to what you want to do next – stay and change your situation at work, leave and find a new job in your industry, or try something completely new altogether.
  • Set boundaries and learn self-care practices to fill your cup so that you can help those that depend on you without sacrificing your physical and emotional integrity.
  • Climb out of overwhelm by building habits that support healthier decisions, clarity, and more peace.
  • Improve your productivity and communication skills
  • Transform your career into one that fits into your life and brings you joy, satisfaction and pays you what you’re worth.

Prior to working with Gladys, I could not get interviews for jobs that I knew I was qualified for. My resume did not seem to capture my skill set and how to best apply them. I kept having to settle for jobs I really did not want to do and had difficulty thriving in them because I knew I was meant to work elsewhere. The fit was not right. Then I reached out to Gladys to help me with my resume. She looked over my resume and we talked about my prior experience. She came up with the perfect way to showcase my skills and create multiple resumes to focus on different areas that I could go into. All I know is, I now have a job that I am truly happy with and working does not seem like a chore. Going above and beyond does not make me resentful because I am so happy to work everyday. Gladys is an amazing listener and patient. She hung in there with me when I was going through a difficult time. She is masterful at balancing business and the angst that people can go through when we are figuring out our lives.

Actor/Entrepreneur

After working backstage in theater for a long while, I realized that a gig-based career like the one I had as a technician was not for me. So I started working as a receptionist in a church and decided to go back to college. In that job I encountered people who needed more help than the church could provide, so I decided that my life’s work would be to help these people (homeless, ill, etc.). Even without a degree and with no prior experience, Gladys worked with me and made my resume into a skills-based (functional) one that got me noticed by my target agency. Not only did I get that job, I got a whopping 20% salary bump! Best investment I ever made in myself.

My theatre resume before working with Gladys was too cluttered and not concise. Since working with her, I have a new, aesthetically pleasing and clear resume that highlights my best credits and accomplishments, which helps display my career in the best light. I’ve been excited with the results and have been getting called in more for audition appointments when submitting for regional gigs and various projects. When it’s time to do some sprucing up, I will definitely hit Gladys up again! I totally recommend her services!

Before I had a chance to work with Gladys, I was mostly writing my own CVs and Resumes/cover letters with the help of my sister who is a savant in her field of literature. So I was quite impressed when Gladys was not only able to incorporate the work I had done with my sister on the cover letter to then encompass a very diverse CV into a resume that was both visually appealing and to the point. All important aspects of any Resume for me, being a “Jack of All”. We had deep discussions and needed very little revisions. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured to “get it done”, she was as invested in getting it right and following up to see if the Resume had landed me the gig(it did) post mortem! I cannot recommend Gladys enough, she is a true master of her craft while also making you feel comfortable and working with very different and hectic schedules!

Before working with Gladys, I was unsure how to format a new and specific resume. I needed another professional eye to assist, review and enhance my resume. Glad I went to her. Great experience. She is very patient and very helpful. She also suggested sites to look up jobs! I now have an easy template for updating my regular job resume. For actors who struggle with putting together a “regular job” resume, Gladys is the person to go to. She is also an actress so she understands us.

Life/Career Coaching

I keep on having to raise my prices so I am not so busy! It’s amazing… it’s coming up to another increase again. You really helped me see a lot of stuff and you helped me realize that just what I imagined in myself was not all there was. You made me imagine a life that was bigger than what I thought I could do, a me that was bigger than I thought I was. You helped me imagine that and you helped me take other steps and dare to take some risks and that is amazing because I was so scared of life, scared of everything. And now I’m just so confident and I feel like I can do anything, I really do!

Working with Gladys was a joy for me… I was going through a stage of needing to reassess how I spend my time and how to determine what my purpose at this point in my life is [and]… finding what really is of value to me. Through Gladys’ positive encouragement and supportive questioning, I was able to release myself of some of the “shoulds” I carry and really begin to explore those things that give my life real joy. I left the sessions feeling inspired and worthwhile, with the weight of “shoulds” off my shoulders. Gladys is a good listener and an inspired, and inspiring, person to work with.
